First Shift (Monday through Friday from 06:00 am to 05:00 pm)Using hand signals and direction signs to direct traffic around road construction sites. Communicating with other flaggers using hand-held radios to direct two-way traffic onto a single lane. Informing the construction crew of any traffic issues that may affect their safety. Appropriately positioning warning and detour signs around construction sites. Setting up barricades and traffic cones along construction sites to cordon off certain areas. Removing all signs, barricades, and traffic cones upon completion of construction work. Flagger Certification Class Qualifications:Class Requirements:Must register or already be registered through Elwood Staffing$65 class certification fee. Applicant may be subject to a background check. Applicant may be subject to a Motor Vehicle Report. Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment - A conviction record will not necessarily prevent you from being employed. You will be required to complete and submit a questionnaire. We will consider your age at the time of the offense, when the offense occurred, the seriousness and the nature of the offense, as well as any rehabilitation to determine your employability.
