About this Job
Our mission is to improve the quality of life for citizens of Acadiana who have behavioral health and/or intellectual/developmental disabilities. Interested in joining our maintenance team and help keep our facilities running at their best? We’re seeking a skilled Maintenance Repairer who will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs to the facilities and grounds at the Tyler Behavioral Health Clinic and the Crowley Behavioral Health Clinic. This role is essential in ensuring our equipment, building and systems operate smoothly and safety.
Minimum Qualifications
Two years of experience or training in the building construction trades, building maintenance, maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment, or park operations and grounds maintenance; OR - Completion of a two-year vocational technical program in general building construction, construction technology, or engineering; OR - Twelve semester hours in construction management, construction technology, or engineering, or any combination of these courses.

Job Duties and Other Information
As a Maintenance Repairer 2, you will:Perform duties such as: replacement, installation or repair, modifications and preventive maintenance activities of the facility in areas including but not limited to: heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, etc. Perform duties under general supervision from the Facility Maintenance Manager A or as assigned by direct supervisor and/or designee. Position-Specific Details. Appointment Type: Probational or Promotional. Work Schedule: 8 hours a day; Monday through Friday. Location: This position is located in the Acadiana Area Human Services District – Tyler Behavioral Health Clinic in Lafayette, LA.
