Regions Hospital is looking to hire an exceptional, patient focused Registered Nurse to join our Inpatient Oncology Unit and make a difference for our patients and our community. This unit serves Hematology/ Oncology patients that may require specialized care such as: chemotherapy, side-effect management, complications, biotherapy, supportive/end of life care, neutropenic isolation, infection management, pain management, emotional, spiritual and palliative support, radiation therapy, and clinical trials. This unit will also take overflow general med/surg patients. We are known for saving lives in our Level I Trauma Center, and our nursing staff are key to the exceptional care we provide each patient. We are proud of the care we give each and every patient. Work Schedule: 0.70 Evening. All 8 hour shifts. Every other weekend rotation. Required Qualifications: -Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree or Associate Degree in Nursing and 1 year of RN experience-Internal new graduate applicants can meet minimum requirements with an Associate Degree in Nursing-Licensed as a registered nurse by the State of Minnesota-CPR for the professional rescuer or BLS for healthcare providers-Must have exceptional interpersonal skills and strong ability to work with a wide range of patients from varied cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. Preferred Qualifications:-BSN/ MSN strongly preferred and generally expected that BSN/ MSN is obtained within 5 years of hire-One year of acute care RN experience is strongly preferred-ICU RN experience is strongly preferred.
