The Director of Communications is responsible for designing, creating and implementing strategic philanthropic messaging mechanisms needed to conduct multiple fundraising campaigns. This position will require the ability to plan, research, write and produce publications and other communications initiatives to support the Foundation’s strategic fundraising priorities. In addition to leading the communications and marketing team, this position will collaborate with multiple teams throughout the organization and enterprise, serve as a key member of the Foundation’s leadership team, generate board communications, and interface with board members, clinical partners, donors and the community Responsibilities. Shape messaging that will drive philanthropic results around various campaign initiatives, ensuring accuracy and integrity to strategically position the Foundation among various constituencies and the community. Lead a team of communications and marketing professionals in the areas of publication development, writing, digital strategy, public relations, web content, and marketing. Write and develop campaign content for leadership messaging, including but not limited to, compelling presentations, scripts, and consistent Foundation-wide talking points. Provide leadership in strategic planning, management, and development of the Foundation’s extensive writing, content, and editing needs. Align the Foundation’s message with system-wide initiatives and the partners we support to ensure consistency, elevation of brand image, and to inspire and engage donors. Promote a culture of philanthropy demonstrating the impact of giving on our mission. Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: onboarding and hiring, training, workload management & performance evaluations, conducting professional development plans as needed. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership. Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals. Minimum Requirements.
