Responsible for planning, developing and editing a variety of content and materials to communicate Exelon’s priorities to internal and external audiences. This position will write and editing stories, video scripts and other materials that showcase Exelon’s long-term vision, advocacy for policies that benefit our customers, community support and initiatives that position the company as an employer of choice. This position will also develop and edit employee communications and executive thought leadership materials. This role will collaborate across the company and work closely with functional subject matter experts as well as operating company communications teams. Performs other duties as assigned by the senior manager, Editorial and manager, Employee Communications. Note: This is a hybrid position (in-office with remote flexibility). Employees are required to be in office at least three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). This role is open to our offices within IL, PA, MD, or Washington DC. You must be able to commute within our service area to be considered. Primary Duties. Produce accurate, compelling, and editorially proficient written communications for the exeloncorp.com content hub for external-facing company stories. (30%)Ensure effective communication of corporate messages and content on a company-wide basis to employees. (25%)Work across the business and with operating company communicators to ensure consistency of messaging. (20%)Develop a variety of communication tasks to support leadership, including briefers and remarks. (25%) Job Scope. Directly supports the Manager, Communications, or Director, Communications, as needed. Position activities are focused on internal and external communications to employees and external stakeholders, which support initiatives and projects developed by corporate communications and business unit organizations for broader application. Requires significant outreach to internal and external audiences and development of strong relationships. Involves proactive communication planning and plan execution, project leadership and a high level of coordination with other communication functions within Corporate. Requires ability to develop communications strategies. Requires ability to travel. Works under minimal supervision. Minimum Qualifications 4-year relevant degree and 4-7 years' experience in communications (media relations, employee communications or advertising). Proven, excellent written and editorial skills. Strong analytical skills. Excellent organizational and presentation skills. Proven ability to be innovative and creative. Ability to work autonomously and interface easily with senior business leaders. Preferred Qualifications. Masters degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Advertising, or related field. Energy business/industry knowledge Benefits.
