As an Engineer 2, Software for Product Delivery - Vehicle Solutions team, you will be responsible for debugging, patching, and improving the overall health and stability of applications in Vehicle Solutions. It is important for you to interpret end-user business needs to develop and/or modify technical solutions for off-the-shelf and/or custom-developed applications. In addition, the Engineer 2 - Software will perform unit and integration testing and develop unit test scripts. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Using broad expertise and skills to resolve a wide range of complex issues Contributing to the development of company objectives and principles to achieve goals in creative and effective ways Assisting in the development of strategic planning for the department Mentoring and providing technical guidance to less experienced software engineers Following and implementing defined standards, processes and procedures for the department Researching and seeking out emerging technologies that would be beneficial to the team Must have strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate to various levels of management and with people with varying technical knowledge Must possess initiative, results-oriented drive and a solid work ethic requiring minimal direction Equal Opportunity Employer/ Disability/ Veterans Qualifications Required:Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future. Must reside in the United States (does not include Alaska or Hawaii) Must be able to work a schedule within U.S. Central Standard Time core business hours. Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities 3 years' experience in software programming and development 3 years experience in Unix Operating system . years of experience with Rest/ Soap Web Services. Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high demand, and challenging environment. Preferred:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred. Experience creating and implementing PL/ SQL in Oracle Database Environment. Experience in Agile development methodologies and tools such as Scrum and Kanban. Experience with JIRA - Experience with Jenkins or other continuous integration tools. Experience with source control management (GIT or SVN experience preferred) Options Apply for this job online.
