This location serves as our center of excellence for Solid Rocket Motor Propulsion and Energetics development, as well as high-complexity production programs. This position will join an exceptional cross-functional team of engineers and technicians to fabricate components and assemble them into some of the most advanced solid rocket systems in the world. Aerojet Rocketdyne is an industry-leading supplier of missile components for national defense programs. This role may perform functions such as component fabrication, equipment cleaning and assembly, tool and work-area cleaning, machinery operation, mixing or processing liner materials, applying liner to cases and components, pressure testing, bonding, assembly, painting, precision part cleaning, mixing adhesives, torquing fasteners, and other duties required to assemble and prepare products for shipment. The role maintains records for manufactured products, follows all safety requirements, and keeps a clean and orderly work area. This position will also support mix/grind/cast operations at the facility. Working under direct supervision, the Manufacturing Technician performs routine and repetitive duties within the manufacturing operations area and applies general manufacturing knowledge to basic problems to determine logical solutions. Essential Functions:Precision assembly of complex aerospace components. Perform case prep, line and cast, cure, strip, and machining of solid rocket propellant. Support mix/grind/cast operations with energetic materials. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or lead. Qualifications:Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and 0 to 3 years of prior related experience. Preferred Additional Skills:Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance. Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions. Ability to follow strict safety practices. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Ability to perform mathematical calculations accurately and efficiently. Ability to work with management, supervisors, or leads to prioritize work and meet deadlines. Ability to read, interpret, and understand work instructions and drawings. Experience with precision assembly, including torque tooling, mixing/applying adhesives, and leak-check testing. In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D. C, Denver, or NYC areas is $22.84/hr - $42.55/hr. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, and Vermont is $19.95/hr - $36.78/hr.
