This recruitment will be used to fill three (3) part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) student project assistant for the Student Experience and Engagement Administration at Oregon State University (OSU). The Student Experiences & Engagement (SEE) Student Advisory Board (SAB) seeks engaged and thoughtful students to serve as At Large Student Advisory Board Members for a one-year appointment. At Large members represent the broad and diverse experiences of OSU students and play a key role in advising SEE leadership on student priorities, programs, and services. Student Advisory Board Members serve as strategic partners, providing student-centered perspectives that inform decision-making, planning, and resource allocation. In this role, students will review programs and services, gather and share student feedback, and participate in the development of an annual student fee recommendation for Student Experiences & Engagement. In this position, students learn and build vital career-readiness skills in the primary areas below: Communication, Critical Thinking, Leadership, Professionalism Position Duties At Large Student Advisory Board Members will: Provide student perspective and feedback on SEE programs, services, and initiatives to support student success, engagement, and belonging. Review and discuss budget information related to Student Experiences & Engagement and contribute to the Board’s recommendation regarding student fee allocation. Participate in advisory board meetings, including preparation, document review, and discussion. Engage with peers to gather input, identify emerging student needs, and elevate diverse student voices. Serve as a liaison between the student body and SEE by sharing information and bringing student concerns forward. Uphold shared governance principles, recognizing that the Board is advisory in nature and does not make final departmental decisions. Minimum Qualifications Full Employment Eligibility Requirements can be found here: Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term - Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term - - International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered “full-time” by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the Office of International Services (OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center. Additional Required Qualifications Currently enrolled OSU Corvallis student in good academic standing. Interest in student engagement, student services, or shared governance. Ability to thoughtfully review information and contribute to group discussion. Commitment to representing a broad student perspective, including voices that may be underrepresented. Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate with other students and professional staff.
