Perform routine and emergency maintenance on BHS components including conveyors, diverters, motors, gearboxes, sensors, belts, and rollers. Conduct mechanical inspections and diagnostics to identify wear, damage, or malfunction. Complete preventive maintenance tasks in accordance with schedules and manufacturer guidelines. Troubleshoot mechanical and minor electrical faults using tools, schematics, and computerized maintenance systems. Installation, inspection, assessment, maintenance, repair and/or refurbish of all mechanical parts, components and/or assemblies within the ICS Assist with system upgrades, component replacements, and new equipment installation. Cleaning of ICS and surrounding areas Maintain clear and accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and inventory records using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems). Collaborate with controls technicians, operations staff, and external contractors to minimize system downtime. Maintain and operate the ICS according to the OEM manuals Adhere to airport safety standards, TSA regulations, and operational protocols. Respond to BHS alerts and system faults in a timely manner to ensure minimal baggage disruption. Support 24/7 airport operations, including participating in shift work, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotation as required. Qualifications. High school diploma or GED; completion of technical training or apprenticeship in mechanical maintenance preferred. Minimum 2-3 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in a high-speed automated or baggage handling environment. Proficiency with mechanical systems including conveyors, bearings, chains, rollers, motors, and gearboxes. Familiarity with BHS operations, PLC-controlled systems, and basic electrical troubleshooting is a plus. Ability to read technical diagrams, blueprints, and maintenance manuals. Must be able to lift 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in confined spaces or elevated areas. Ability to obtain and maintain airport security clearance badging. Work Environment:Fast-paced airport environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and variable temperatures. Shifts include working nights, weekends, and holidays. Frequent walking, bending, lifting (when needed), and standing throughout large airport facilities. Pay rate: $29.39 per hour, Fringe rate: $8.19 per hour. Work schedule: Wednesday 10:00 am - 4 pm and Thursday - Saturday 4:00 am - 4:00 pm
