As a Airport Security Officer in Kailua-Kona, HI, you will safeguard the airport, staff, and it's facilities. Along with driving, patrolling, checking, and securing doors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication to all visitors and staff. Position Type: Part Time - Combo Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $1.96. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee. Job Schedule:Day. Time. Wed 06:30 AM - 03:00 PM - Sat 01:30 PM - 10:00 PM - Sun 01:30 PM - 10:00 PM Requirements: Valid Driver's License ( 1 years)21 years of age. Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening. Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office What You'll Do:Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities in public-facing transportation areas. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or public sector personnel as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions. Monitor access points and observe pedestrian and vehicle activity to help to deter disruptions, support orderly operations, and document security-related concerns. Prepare clear, timely reports of incidents, observations, and/or policy violations, and relay relevant information to supervisors and appropriate personnel. Minimum Requirements:Be at least 21 years of age. A guard card or license is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
