About the Role: Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time entry level Guidance, Navigation, and Control Engineer. In this role, you will support flight dynamics modeling and simulation, hardware design and analysis, as well as requirements verification. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of flight dynamics, engineering design process, and modeling and simulation. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. Successful applicants will generally possess minimal or entry level related work experience, if any, and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline. - Bachelor's Degree in a related field. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Demonstrate experience using GitLab or a similar software configuration management tool - Experience in hypersonic vehicle design and reentry vehicle systems - Experience with navigation, controls, and guidance algorithm development - Experience in requirements definition and verification - Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with team members - Active DOD Secret security clearance Skill Requirements: - Demonstrated experience using MATLAB and/or Simulink for planning and conducting system performance and simulation analysis. - Knowledge of system design and flight vehicle architectures. Security Clearance / Work Authorization: - To meet requirements of the program/customer, this position requires the selected employee to be a U.S. Citizen. - Although not required for consideration, applicants must be able to obtain a Secret clearance prior to start. - Selected candidates will be required to maintain a minimum level, government issued Secret clearance, for long term employment on this program.
