As a Network Systems Engineer, you will develop, implement, maintain, and optimize network systems to ensure reliable, secure connectivity. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support network infrastructure, troubleshoot issues, and implement automation and security measures. Key responsibilities include:Support and manage core network components, including Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and out-of-band (OOB) networks. Maintain network security by managing access controls, applying updates, and enforcing organizational policies. Resolve network installation and configuration issues; support problem identification and root cause analysis. Assist with network installation projects and provide training support. Take ownership of assigned network tasks and contribute to team efforts. Facilitate effective communication within the network team and with customers. Minimum Qualifications. Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience combined with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field. Experience with Enterprise class networking hardware and platforms. Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/ IP and Routing Protocols), routing, switching, and wireless technologies. Experience with network monitoring and network diagnostic tools. Familiarity with network security principles and best practices. Skilled in root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and diagnosing complex network operations. Preferred Qualifications. CCNA or CCNP Enterprise certification, or willingness to obtain. Experience with Cisco hardware/platforms, including IOS, IOS-XE and Cisco Catalyst Center (formerly Cisco DNA Center). Strong Python skills, particularly for API interaction and network automation scripting. Familiarity with CI/ CD pipelines and git cli/repository usage. Experience with Thousand. Eyes or similar network performance analytics tools. Excellent time management, attention to detail, and follow-through. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to influence and collaborate with technical teams and managers.
