Install, test, maintain, troubleshoot, modify and repair various aircraft electrical system, associated wiring to support certification and delivery for new airplanes. Obtain and verify detail parts, standards and assemblies were issued correctly and are free of visible defects. Incorporate changes to aircraft to reconfigure for customer and/or vendor requirements. Perform lock out, tag out, try out equipment for safety. Remove, replace, adjust and/or install equipment racks, power panels and various aircraft components/assemblies (e.g., light assemblies, transmitter, position sensors, and switches). Remove, replace, adjust and/or install test equipment racks and various components/assemblies (e.g., black boxes, servos, valves). Fabricate and install replacement wires as necessary for rework applications by ordering correct wire stock, terminals, and plugs. Remove, replace detail parts (e.g., clamps, brackets, standoffs) to facilitate routing and clamping of wire bundles. Perform buildup/rebuild of electrical components (e.g., canon plugs, terminals, coaxial cables), using appropriate equipment (e.g., wire crimpers, hydraulic lugers, heat guns, solder). Assist leads when energize various systems to perform a variety of functional tests per drawing, test documents, nonconformance reports and other documents, in order to verify integrity of the system (e.g., electronic rack, lighting systems). Perform traveler work/rework in factory and/or on the flight line, using appropriate power, (e.g., building power, ground power unit). Handle and dispose of hazardous materials in approved manner. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location. Security Clearance & Export Control Requirements:This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C. F. R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):Minimum 1 year directly related work experience in performing complete operational testing of electrical systems. Minimum 1 year of experience with wiring diagrams and system schematics. Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/ Experience):Minimum 1 year of experience working around live aircraft and flight operations. Minimum 1 year of demonstrated knowledge and experience with routing electrical wires and assembly. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Foreign Object Debris (FOD) risk experience with commercial and/or military aircraft. Relocation:This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense. Shift:This position is for 2nd shift.
