The Facility Operations Staff is a customer service focused on supporting daily functions of the Ramsey Student Center. This position serves as the first and last interaction point with patrons and provides patrons with accurate information regarding daily schedule, programs, or any special events. Additionally, this role supports all program areas by assisting with equipment checkout/inventory, participant check-in, and daily operations of programming. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential to effectively address patron needs and ensure a positive experience. This role requires adaptability and teamwork and frequently collaborates with colleagues to support a wide range of activities and services. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies - Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail. - Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills. - Demonstrated ability to complete tasks independently within established guidelines. - Familiarity with facility operations. - Ability to organize work and meet established deadlines Physical Demands Move throughout the 440,000 sq. ft. Ramsey Student Center, Lake Herrick sandy beach and pavilion, and the departmental field complexes; stand; walk; sit; use hands; reach with hands and arms. Climb up and down ladders and over small retaining walls; walk across narrow accesses such as 2 ft. walkways and 4 ft. wide bulkheads, and operate department-owned vehicles to run job-related errands. Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds. Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus. Duties/ Responsibilities Duties/ Responsibilities Customer Service & Front Desk Operations Assist with checking patrons in to the Ramsey Student Center; Assist with checking in and out informal rec equipment at the Ramsey Admissions Desk. Percentage of time 30 Duties/ Responsibilities Intramural & Competitive Sports Support. Help prepare intramural games by setting up spaces and checking in participants to ensure everything is ready for play; Assist with checking in and out competitive sports equipment necessary for intramural events. Percentage of time 25 Duties/ Responsibilities Facility Maintenance & Cleanliness. Contribute to overall facility cleanliness by regularly monitoring shared spaces, picking up debris, cleaning fitness equipment, and ensuring all areas remain safe, sanitary, and presentable for users. Percentage of time 25 Duties/ Responsibilities Equipment Inventory & Organization. Help manage storage of intramural sports equipment by organizing, sorting, and maintaining items in designated areas, ensuring all gear is properly stored, easily accessible, and kept in good condition for participant use. Percentage of time 15 Duties/ Responsibilities Supplies & Operational Support. Help maintain all gym wipes inventory and ensure wipe stations are operational.
