The Compliance Coordinator, working in collaboration with and in support of the firm’s strategic initiatives, supports the firm's Office of General Counsel ("OGC") by providing administrative coordination for several areas of firm compliance operations and risk management initiatives, including due diligence activities. Location This position can sit in our Atlanta, Baltimore, Northern Virginia, Philadelphia, Raleigh, Short Hills, Washington, DC, or Wilmington office and offers a hybrid work schedule. Responsibilities. Assist in organization and first level review of background checks for potential timekeeper candidates. Track issues from identification through resolution. Assist in monitoring attorney licensing compliance. Review and research compliance requests from firm attorneys and business professionals. Assist in creation and maintenance of databases. Research public records using public websites. Perform database research and data entry. Compile and organize information from various internal firm sources to support OGC projects. Assist with preparing a variety of documents, forms, charts, letters, etc. Other duties as assigned. Desired Skills Demonstrated basic level of proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and database experience. Office experience in a law firm or other legal environment supporting paralegals and/or attorneys preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills required to interact with paralegals, attorneys and internal clients. Excellent organizational skills and attention-to-detail necessary to manage high volume of complex data. Must have the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to prioritize multiple assignments to meet deadlines. The work of the OGC is highly confidential in nature and the candidate for this position must be able to maintain confidentiality and discretion with regard to the work being managed, as well as an acute awareness of how information is shared with others. Minimum Education Bachelor's Degree. Minimum Years of Experience 2 years demonstrated success working in a fast-paced legal environment. Essential Job Expectations. Engage in both physical and sedentary activity, such as (a) working at a computer for extended periods of time, including on-screen reading and typing; (b) participating in digital/virtual conference calls; (c) participating in meetings as needed. Ability to work under pressure and manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment. Perform all other duties, tasks or projects as assigned.
