OTHER FUNCTIONS AND COMPETENCIES including Essential Functions:Medical Physics Residency Program Will satisfactorily complete all rotations and responsibilities as defined by the Residency Director. Attends all physics lectures given by the Medical Physics staff for the Department’s Physician Residents and will take all tests given as part of this course. Attends all Molecular Radiobiology lectures given by the Molecular Radiobiology staff for the Department’s Physician Residents and will take all tests given as part of this course. Will satisfactorily complete mock-oral reviews at 12 and 18 months. Will rotate with the Staff Physicists in External Beam, Brachytherapy, Advanced Technologies, and satellites when necessary. Will participate in three (3) consecutive annuals before joining rotational coverage of annuals. Will participate in three (3) consecutive monthly QA’s before joining rotation of monthly QA’s. This includes simulators and CT simulators. Will participate in ten (10) consecutive IMRT QA’s before joining IMRT QA rotations. Will participate in ten (10) consecutive HDR warm-ups before joining HDR warm-up rotation. Will participate in three (3) HDR monthlies before joining HDR monthly QA rotation. Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the University. Will participate in research and clinical projects as deemed necessary for clinical development and as approved by the Residency Director and the Director of Medical Physics. Will demonstrate commitment to our core values of excellence and innovation, integrity and respect, teamwork and communication. Will practice policies and procedures applicable to assigned duties. Will use sound judgment and be aware of potential hazards before taking action. Will promptly report errors/events or situations of actual or potential harm. Understands emergency procedures and can demonstrate appropriate response. Other duties as assigned.
