EY’s Global Workplace Procurement Services (WPS) team is responsible for developing strategies and negotiating transactions supporting and benefitting all member firms with a spend of US $450 M annually across our 750 EY offices and 360,000 people around the globe. Examples of the scope of this strategy development, stakeholder engagement, sourcing and supplier management would include: outsourced FM Services, cleaning, catering and food services, records management, office supplies and furniture, utilities, real estate brokers, project management, furniture to name a few. The role of the Supervising Associate – Workplace Services Lead will be to lead in developing and delivering procurement strategy, sourcing execution, customer engagement and vendor management across the Workplace Services and/or Real Estate categories primarily in the United States and other geographies as demand requires. Your key responsibilities End-to-end delivery of sourcing projects and category management activities for EY business stakeholders, along with commercial management of key suppliers. Act as a trusted business advisor to EY stakeholders, aligning procurement projects with the business’ pipeline and providing Exceptional Customer Services while delivering both brand and quantitative value to the bottom line through cost savings and cost avoidance. Adherence to EY Procurement policy and processes, including collaboration with Legal (GCO), Risk Management and other EY support functions. Provides structured management and accurate progress reporting on all projects. Build and manage a pipeline of Procurement projects in support of category strategy/plan and in collaboration with Procurement leaders and global/local (as applicable) stakeholders Lead complex Request for Proposals (RFPs) including strong commercial contractual negotiations, while partnering with stakeholders and shared functions such as GCO, Risk Management and Vendor Assurance. Develop strong relationships with key EY business stakeholders and report procurement progress via regular meetings. Continuously deliver procurement and category insights to key stakeholders and educate the procurement process to local EY staff and stakeholders as needed. Solid knowledge of key suppliers and their position in the market, in addition to working through current market intelligence resources and partners to perform the latest research. High quality execution of sourcing projects in line with the Procurement policy and within the timeline as agreed with key stakeholders. Minimize contractual risks to EY and manage supplier relationships according to EY’s Procurement and Independence policies. Achieve value targets, while innovatively developing new cost reduction strategies to improve negotiable spend via sourcing and demand management activities; including spend consolidation and supplier rationalization. Work collaboratively with other EY Procurement leads to deliver projects in regions where there may not be category coverage/support, or when sourcing expertise is required. Provide accurate monthly reporting on deals and timely submission of savings forms. Skills and attributes for success Demonstrable Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in Workplace or Facilities Management and/or Real Estate Project procurement A strong team player, comfortable working collaboratively, virtually and independently Excellent communication and networking skills – able to effectively manage and influence senior leaders as well as a broad range of internal and client facing professionals Ability to work in a high pace, agile environment Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines, managing multiple priorities effectively High level of cultural awareness and EQ To qualify for the role, you must have Strong procurement expertise and commercial acumen to drive sourcing and demand management strategies across a broad array of category services. Strong strategic sourcing expertise and some background in Workplace or Facilities Management or Real Estate procurement Proven track record of leading complex procurement activities, including multi-regional or global projects. Ability to align efforts with key stakeholders and influence these leaders, as necessary, and possess a global mindset. Experience with Source-to-Pay (“S 2 P”) processes, including managing sourcing projects on ARIBA, and execution of online Rfx and e-Auctions. Ideally, you’ll also have Experience in workplace services, facilities services or real estate project procurement Strong analytical skills and ability to present to senior stakeholders. A Bachelor’s and follow on degree in related discipline is recommended (but not necessary)
