Indiana University Health is seeking individuals who embody these values to join our leadership team in the role of Executive Director – Chief of Staff. The Executive Director, Chief of Staff serves as a senior leader and trusted advisor to the Senior Vice President, System Health Solutions (SHS). This role partners closely with SHS executives to orchestrate and execute a coordinated portfolio of strategic initiatives aligned to annual and multi-year objectives. Key responsibilities include leading the 3–5-year strategic planning process; translating strategy into annual growth priorities; aligning divisional goals with enterprise-wide system objectives; and driving disciplined execution through monthly business reviews that foster accountability and performance outcomes. The role also supports enterprise ownership culture efforts, including the design and delivery of business acumen initiatives, and provides leadership support for strategic transactions and partnerships as needed. The Executive Director collaborates extensively with system stakeholders, including participation in the Chief of Staff affinity group, and maintains awareness of emerging external trends that may impact SHS divisions or service lines—ensuring the organization remains forward-looking, aligned, and positioned for sustainable growth. Key Relationships. Reports to: Senior Vice President-Healthcare Operations. Candidate Qualifications. Candidates for the position will be evaluated according to the following criteria and competencies. Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, Communications or related field. Master's Degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Administration is preferred. Requires 7-10 years of relevant experience. Requires knowledge in finance, operations management, strategic planning, and communications. Requires extensive experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.
