As a Surveillance Analyst, you'll play a critical role in maintaining fair, orderly, and efficient markets by monitoring trading activity and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities - Monitor real-time trading activity and conduct post-trade analysis to detect anomalies and ensure market integrity. - Review electronically generated alerts and investigate potential market manipulation or rule violations. - Support market interventions such as trade breaks and suspensions under supervisor guidance. - Respond to market participant inquiries with clarity and professionalism. - Collaborate with compliance, technology, and operations teams to strengthen surveillance processes. Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related discipline, or equivalent practical experience. - At least 1 year of experience in surveillance, compliance, trading operations, or a related field. - Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel; comfortable with Word and PowerPoint. - Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to explain complex issues clearly. - Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a regulated, fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications - Experience in financial markets, brokerage operations, or regulatory compliance. - Familiarity with market surveillance tools or trading platforms.
