To make sure food pantry and storage units are kept clean and organized To make food boxes and bags for the clients needs Helping with the unloading of trucks when food is delivered To Assist the Director in helping with commodities and TEFAP To record freezer and refrigeration temperatures Will assist with the seasonal activities during Thanksgiving and Christmas To help with food donations and food bank pick-ups from local stores To assist in doing food drives in the community To Assist in helping with Vouchers for various Army programs - Education/ Experience Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent - Skills o Posses good customer Service o Able to follow verbal and written directions o Able to work with excel and word o To make suggestions to Social Services Director and Corps Officer about what is needed in the food bank - Qualifications o Must be 21 years of age o Must be able to stand on your feet for a long period of time. - Driving o If the position requires driving: A minimum age of 21 (for insurance provision) and possession of a valid in-state driver's license is required. An MVR will be processed every year in accordance with The Salvation Army's policies. - Background Check o Continued employment will be contingent upon a biennial (every two years) background check that is processed in accordance with The Salvation Army's policies. Physical Requirements - Ability to maneuver. - Ability to remain in a stationary position. - Ability to grasp, push, pull, and reach overhead. - Ability to operate telephone. - Ability to lift 50 pounds. - Ability to access and produce information from the computer. - Ability to understand written information. - Qualified individuals must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.
