Responsible for systems security for company capital projects. Ensures appropriate documentation for the installation, maintenance configuration and integrity of physical security capital projects. Assists system integrator in completing O&M physical security projects where necessary. Partners with Physical Security team members to ensure completion of all Federal, State and local regulatory compliance to reduce risk to the company, our assets and protect the Bulk Electric System. There are 3 openings - one in each of the following locations. Minneapolis, MN - Denver, CO - Amarillo, TX - Essential Responsibilities. Responsible for the overall installation, maintenance, configuration, and integrity of capital project physical security systems and/or physical security infrastructure. In addition to daily administration, focuses on improving performance of systems and/or network for capital projects. Recommend and implement strategies to improve security systems reliability and performance. Ability to independently design and develop procedures and task automations to improve processing efficiency, repeatability and quality. Implement physical security requirements and physical security best practice solutions to build and manage physical security controls for capital projects. Participate in reviews of security systems to maintain a highly reliable physical security system to protect company assets. Review designs and operations to ensure all company standards are maintained. Conduct internal assessment activities including training, spot checks and reviews to ensure compliance. Provide expert level knowledge and expertise on system security related matters. Provide internal consulting expertise to key business area customers as needed to support internal customers' capital project related activities. Partner with physical security system integrator, Security Operations Center and Physical Security management to ensure timely and accurate project management, invoice management, creation and completion of work orders of capital projects. Maintain physical security control documentation and tracking of physical security projects at assets to ensure that standard requirements around physical security are maintained. Communicate effectively with Physical Security management, key leadership, and subject matter experts to minimize, identify and resolve physical security systems security issues. Work directly with management on escalated concerns to ensure satisfactory resolution. Minimum Requirements. Bachelor's degree or equivalent education, military and/or law enforcement or Corporate Security experience providing equivalent knowledge. Experience with physical security systems, controls strongly preferred. Five years progressive industrial security experience in a corporate environment preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills required. Must be able to work flexible hours to meet situational demands. Must be able to personally conduct site inspections at a variety of facilities. Must be able to climb ladders, to inspect roof hatches or other such openings, lift floor tiles to inspect under the floor, to get down on hands & knees to see under flooring or inspect culverts or holes in fences and walk on uneven surfaces or terrain. Valid driver's license required. Must be able to travel with little advance warning. Preferred Qualifications. Working knowledge of modern video management and access control ecosystems incorporating AI-based video analytics, rule-driven alarms, identity-based access provisioning, and integration with enterprise physical security and monitoring environments. Industry-recognized physical security certifications preferred, including credentials focused on enterprise surveillance systems, access control technologies, security architecture, commercial building codes, and risk-based physical security design.
