A. Work as directed by the chemical manager or innediate supervisor. B. Provide pest control services. C. Chemically treat weeds and fertilize designated areas of campus. D. Continue to train and develop to the highest level. E. Assist other departments in operations. Essential Duties:Other duties may be assigned. A. Follow established rules and guidelines established by operations. B. Order materials and supplies for the completion of daily tasks. C. Fill out work orders and written documentation. D. Be available to respond to after hours emergency issues. E. Respond to work orders in a timely manner. F. Maintain a comprehensive program for fertilization and weed control for turf and landscape areas. Training and Development A. Complete appropriate continuing education credits for license. B. Stay in compliance with TDA and maintain chemical application records. C. Maintain your equipment in your area. D. Work with other operations personnel in a sense of teamwork. Skills. A. Knowledge in hand and power tools. B. Skilled in all areas of fertilization and weed control. C. Operate large equipment such as sprayers andnd spreaders. D. Computer training. Qualifications:A. High school diploma or GEDB. 5 years experience in Turf Management. C. Chemical license for Lawn and Ornamental. D. Valid U.S. drivers license. Personal. A. Honest and responsible. B. Good moral character. C. Neat and clean. Physical Demands. A. Good health. able to work in extreme heat and cold. B. Must be able to climb a ladder. C. Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds.
