Food Service Assistant 1: Under close supervision, the Food Service Assistant 1 is responsible for supporting all aspects of food preparation and meal service within the hospital and Wildflower Court. The FSA 1 is expected to learn and perform a variety of tasks across food service operations while adhering to safety and sanitation standards. Food Service Assistant 2: With greater independence and initiative, the Food Service Assistant 2 is responsible for performing a wide range of food service duties with proficiency and minimal supervision. In addition to core service functions, the FSA 2 assists with training new staff, helps coordinate shift activities, and demonstrates knowledge of therapeutic diets. Minimum Qualifications for the Job:Food Service Assistant 1 Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience: None. Preferred Experience: Previous experience in food service preferred. License(s): None Certification(s): Must obtain a State of Alaska Food Workers Card or Serve Safe within 30 days of hire. Food Service Assistant 2 Education: High School Diploma or the equivalent preferred. Experience: One (1) year of experience as an FSA 1 or comparable experience in a food service setting. Preferred Experience: experience in an institutional food service setting is preferred. License(s): None.
