The position of Curriculum Manager fills an essential space beneath the Senior Curriculum Manager to assist in the planning, organization, evaluation, and management of basic science and clerkship operations. In addition to policies and procedures, this position will interact directly with high level administrators, department chairs, faculty, staff, students, and representatives to ensure the smooth functioning of both existing and new courses and clerkships. The position will also participate in continuous quality improvement (CQI) initiatives within the School, and have accountability for pertinent functions related to evaluation and assessment. This position requires the ability to work effectively with diverse personalities while maintaining professional relationships with stakeholders both within and outside the core team. This is an expanded role that serves as a point-of-contact for clinical faculty, medical students, and administrative professionals for all aspects of the undergraduate medical education (UME) program. Updates and posts Canvas course information in UNLV Web campus and MedHub, curriculum management system. This includes: schedules, syllabi, lectures, presentations materials, and other relevant course materials and supplemental materials. Assists with course evaluations, exams, and proctoring. Maintains and compiles program evaluation reports and meets with course and clerkship directors to improve learning tools and changes to future iterations of clerkships. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - This position requires an Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and 1-3 years of experience. Credentials must be obtained prior to the start date. ACCEPTED EQUIVALENCIES FOR DEGREE REQUIREMENTUNLV may consider additional relevant experience in place of formal education requirements:In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, applicants may qualify with four additional years of relevant experience, or with an Associate's degree plus two additional years of relevant experience. For positions requiring a master’s degree, acceptable equivalents include:Six additional years of relevant experience. A bachelor’s degree plus two additional years of relevant experience. An associate degree plus four additional years of relevant experience. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - Related work experience in higher education environment. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Related work experience in a medical school environment. OTHER EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT - Relevant experience with academic learning and management technologies preferred.
