Performs duties and responsibilities commensurate with assigned functional area which may include, but are not limited to, any combination of the following:Coordinates the activities of facilities and contractor staff addressing facility work order requests and/or building improvement/construction projects. Reviews work of facilities and contractor crews to ensure proper safety procedures and standards are followed and that of the city's Voluntary Protection Program and current OSHA standards. Displays strong customer service skills; interfaces with internal and external customers. Facilitates and/or attends project meetings where needed. Prepares activity reports and audits work activities to assure compliance with planned programs. Evaluates maintenance and functionality of facility buildings systems including access control systems, alarms, and ADA compliance devices.

Work sometimes involves climbing elevations; requires moderate muscular exertion and lifting. Perform construction and maintenance functions requiring visual and manual dexterity and precision measurements. Lift and carry heavy objects over 50 pounds with assistance at heights greater than 10 feet. Bend/stoop repeatedly; reach and lift arms above head daily; climb up and down stairs and over rough terrain. Perceive the full color spectrum. Read and work from drawings and specifications. Regular exposure to dust, grease, noise, inclement weather, temperature extremes and unpleasant hazardous odors. Operate a variety of standard office equipment including a computer, telephone, calculator, copy and fax machines requiring continuous and repetitive arm, hand and eye movement.
