POSITION: Archway Summer School Program Teacher (1st – 5th ELA and/or Math)CURRENT NEEDS: 35th Grade Teachers for ELA and Math at Archway Veritas, Phoenix, AZ Stipend Range: Stipend amounts are dependent on enrollment numbers and per subject taught One subject stipend: 510 students: $1,600.00 1015 students: $2,000.00 1520 students: $2,400.00 Hours: 7:45 am – 9:45 am and/or 9:45 am – 11:45 am Session Times Math: 89:30 am ELA: 1011:30 am. Archway Summer School positions are temporary and will be fulfilled on an annual basis. Current Great Hearts Teachers preferred. All Archway Summer School employees must be current Great Hearts employees for the entire duration of the program dates, as this additional position will be labeled as a second job by Human Resources. Employees must dress and behave professionally in adherence to the Great Hearts Faculty Handbook – all expectations and responsibilities expected of them during the school year will apply to their duties in the summer school program. Position Responsibilities:Develop Math and/or ELA lesson plans based on the program objectives for the grade level in which they are assigned. Execute lesson plans while incorporating differentiation to effectively assist all students in their growth with consideration of their current academic abilities. Utilize classroom management techniques to preserve the learning environment to maximize the opportunity for academic growth. Provide formative and summative constructive feedback to students and parents. Ensure the safety of the students and use judgement when situations arise. Monitor students during session breaks and ensure students are safely guided to their pickup and dropoff locations
