Standardized Patients (S - Ps) are trained to portray both staff and patient situations, serving as models for learners to train and test on medical, behavioral, and communication competencies. They perform standardized cases, including non-invasive physical exams, and assess learners from a patient/family perspective, providing objective feedback and using checklists or debriefing sessions as directed by faculty. S - Ps receive training in physical examination techniques, communication competencies and evaluating and giving constructive feedback to learners. - S - Ps must be willing to maintain availability and flexibility to be "cast" for upcoming SP events based on specific case profiles requested by facilities in Baltimore, Randallstown and Westminster. - REQUIREMENTS: Entry level knowledge; basic employment skills; High School diploma: GED equivalent or High School certificate. Less than 1 year of experience; prior SP or acting experience required.
