The Frac service tech is required to have or be able to acquire a knowledge of specialty chemical products for use in oil and gas operations. The Frac service technician performs chemical treatment of oil wells and is the primary field representative to assist and answer customer questions or concerns. JOB DUTIES: Manage chemical inventory and transfer to and from location. Set up and take down frac equipment. Manage pumps, chemical lines, totes, rates and pressures. Communicate issues and questions to immediate supervisor in a timely and thorough manner. Interact with customer and other field personnel to answer questions and resolve issues. Monitor, maintain and troubleshoot field equipment in support of chemical treatment programs. Collect and record data and on occasion present to company man or well site supervisor. Submit paperwork upon completion of frac. Understand and perform inventory transfers (in/out)Knowledge of valve and well pressures while on oilfield locations. Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of chemical process and utilization in yard and field operations. Acceptable motor vehicle record (past 3 years) PREFERRED EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING: Previous oil and gas frac experience. Experience with frac equipment used in oil and gas operation. Understanding of fundamental chemical properties (oil/water solubility)Experience in and competent knowledge of chemical treatment process. Understanding of well and valve pressures
