Shift: Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4:30 PM - Travel flexibility is required. When staffing needs exceed available ultrasound rooms, the sonographer may be required to provide coverage at other Tampaarea locations, including Wesley Chapel, Carrollwood, and Jackson Heights. Delivers appropriate care while recognizing patient conditions and ensuring successful completion of procedures. Assesses the patients physical condition and age specific needs. Provides instructions that achieve patient cooperation and desired results. Acquires patients clinical history and provide accurate documentation for invasive procedures. Documents patient weight, blood pressure and other pertinent information depending on patient status. Assesses sonographic images for technical quality, proper annotation, and patient identification, ensuring that all relative anatomy is demonstrated. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of perinatal ultrasound procedures which may include invasive procedures such as amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling. Ability to perform fetal Doppler studies, 3 D/4 D image rendering, fetal echocardiography, and nuchal translucency screening. Ability to analyze fetal anatomy in all stages of gestation for anomalies and fetal well-being. Ability to appropriately image the maternal reproductive anatomy for anomalies including transvaginal ultrasound. Knowledge of urogynocology ultrasound procedures focusing on pelvic floor studies which may include invasive procedures. Ability to perform urodynamic studies independently. Knowledge of specific specialty ultrasound procedural needs with experience in invasive procedures. Ability to perform clinically focused studies independently as deemed necessary by physician. Proficient knowledge of Electronic Medical Record systems including the extrapolation and inclusion of procedural studies in an efficient manner. Ability to capture all clinical diagnostic information in a seamless manner is required. Demonstrates ability to communicate by reading, writing legibly, speaking and comprehending English effectively in order to carry out job requirements. Education: Associate [Required] High School Grad or Equiv [Required]Work Experience: 3 years' experience in either obstetric or perinatal sonography [Required] 1 years' experience in Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialist [Required]Additional Information: Nuchal Translucency NTQR Certified is preferred for Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographers.
