The Graduate Assistant Athletics position is responsible for contributing to the overall success and operations of the athletic department while providing support for individual sports. This includes recruiting, developing, and retaining student-athletes who fit the university culture while fostering spiritual, academic and athletic growth. Additionally, this position supports the Director of Athletics and Administrative staff in fulfilling the mission and vision of NCU athletics and enhancing the overall experience and well-being of student-athletes. Sports Open for Hire:Men's Soccer. Men's and Women's Golf (One position)Women's Volleyball. Esports. Women's Basketball. Women's Soccer. Benefits:Tuition Assistance. Room and Board Education:Requires a completed Bachelor's degree with acceptance into one of the graduate programs at North Central University. Position Description:The following information is not meant to be all-inclusive. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as necessary. Attend and assist Head Coach with all practices and games/events/matches. Scouting assignments as outlined by the Head Coach. Identify, recruit, and retain mission-aligned student-athletes by building strong relationships with high school and club coaches, while supporting academic success to ensure eligibility, retention, and graduation. Assist in program logistics including travel, meals, transportation, inventory and lodging. Assist in transportation for practices and games/events/matches. Assist in administrative responsibilities including compliance, academics (retention, academic coaching, study tables), fundraising, community engagement, camps, and additional office administrative responsibilities for operating a successful intercollegiate program. Assist in marketing and branding efforts including social media. Provide support to the respective sport program in accordance with the NCAA, Upper Midwest Athletic Conference, NCCAA and North Central University policies. Promote a positive and disciplined team culture that aligns with North Central's values and university standards. Serve as a mentor to student-athletes, promoting spiritual development, leadership, and personal growth. Other responsibilities will include:Event management. Game/ Event site manager. Transportation support. Internal operations Academic support. Summer support within athletics and other departments. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Minimum Education and Experience. Bachelor's degree. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Previous coaching and/or playing experience in assigned sport. Ability to communicate the mission and vision of North Central University to prospective student-athletes. Ability to maintain a flexible schedule including working weekends and evenings. Knowledge and understanding of collegiate sport rules and regulations. Organizational skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize. Strong communication skills. Ability to successfully recruit and retain student-athletes aligned with NCU's mission. Ability to work well with a variety of diverse personalities and departments. Valid driver's license.
