Our agency is looking to fill a full-time, permanent Office Assistant (OA 3) vacancy within the Community Corrections Division. This position works for the Longview Field Office located at 1953 7th Avenue, Longview, WA 98632. Under general supervision from the Administrative Assistant 3 (AA 3), this position performs file management and routine, advanced clerical support for the AA 3, Community Corrections Supervisor (CCS) and Community Corrections Officers (CC - Os). Working independently, you will also support the Office Assistant Lead (OAL) and will perform a variety of complex clerical projects and assignment. Work hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Duties
Greet and direct clients, general public, and/or stakeholders to the appropriate staff. Manage a multi-line phone system. Manage incoming and outgoing mail. Database entry and retrieval from various systems, such as OMNI (Offender Management Network Information) and On. Base. File management.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications. High school diploma or GED equivalent. Six months of clerical and/or customer service experience that required keyboarding or typing. Computer knowledge. And must possess and maintain an unrestricted vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Washington. The successful candidate will possess the following skills and abilities:Maintain regular and reliable attendance. Must respect and maintain confidentiality. Ability to assist individuals with various criminal backgrounds. Ability to file, use proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing. Desired Qualifications. Prior experience working in an office setting. Experience working with database systems. Experience using Microsoft Office Suite programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
