Corporate Banking Relationship Manager - Power & Utilities

The U.S. Bank Power & Utilities Division is looking for an experienced Relationship Manager to provide corporate coverage to a large portfolio of Utility clients. This client-oriented individual will be responsible for prospecting and expanding client relationships across credit, capital markets and corporate products. Through consistent client interaction, the Relationship Manager should be able to identify appropriate bank products and services to support client needs. Given capital intensity of sector, the Relationship Manager should have significant corporate finance/capital markets experience. The Relationship Manager should be focused on establishing an advisory approach with client-base while also maintaining responsibility for capital commitments/credit quality across the portfolio of clients. Base pay for this role usually falls within $200,000 to $325,000. Additional considerations regarding base pay levels are based on candidate qualifications. Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, accounting or other related field. Typically, 12 or more years of banking experience. Preferred Skills/ Experience. Five or more years experience within the Energy & Power industry. Three or more years of management experience. Considerable knowledge and experience in managing and growing a large portfolio of corporate clients (Power & Utilities preferred)Demonstrated experience in building relationships and credibility with internal stakeholders (portfolio management/credit risk management/product partners)Significant corporate finance/capital markets experience and ability to evaluate potential financing alternatives. Strong knowledge of bank loan market (i.e., terms, pricing) and comfort with credit underwriting. Experience with traditional bank operating products (treasury management, corporate card/payables, trust and custody)Working knowledge of derivative products (i.e., interest rates, commodities)Strong leadership and strategic management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Well-developed analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills. Location expectations This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.
