The Job: As a Milling Operator, you’ll be part of our Shelbyville Manufacturing team working as an on-site employee. You’ll get to: Operate, change over, adjust, troubleshoot, and clean machines and equipment as needed while maintaining proper flow of product to meet service level goals. Maintain a safe work environment for yourself and other associates, exemplifying 6 S principals. Ensure all products meet specifications, maintain quality standards of product following quality assurance on FPI - Properly fill out all documentation and labels. Properly handle all scrap, rework, and mixed product. Perform other duties as assigned. The Person: You love to learn and grow and be acknowledged for your valuable contributions. Ability to use and operate basic tools, equipment, & gages. Ability to read and follow blueprints and standard work instructions. Basic math skills. Basic computer skills. Light physical effort required, equivalent to lifting, pushing, pulling 5 to 25 pounds. Ability to read and write English; understand and comprehend instructions for safety and quality. Flexibility to work overtime. No written disciplinary action for violation of company policy, production or safety within last six months.
