The HR Coordinator I supports core HR administrative functions with a focus on payroll, onboarding, employee records, and HR program coordination. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant HR operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities. Own payroll administration, including weekly and semi-monthly processing, reporting, W-2 distribution, and resolution of day-to-day payroll inquiries. Process new hires (full-time and temporary) in Workday and maintain accurate employee data in HR systems (Workday/ SAP)Maintain training records, track training compliance, and support programs such as training grants and educational reimbursement. Post and maintain HR communications, including bulletin board updates and plant communications. Coordinate employee recognition efforts, including service awards and employee acknowledgements. Order safety shoes and support basic health and safety administrative requirements. Coordinate company events and employee engagement activities. Maintain and organize employee records, including scanning and filing of termination documentation. Provide backup support across HR functions as needed. Qualifications. Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred 1–3 years of experience in an HR or administrative role. Experience with HRIS systems (Workday preferred) and Microsoft Office. Exposure to payroll processes is an asset. Experience with SAP - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
