As a Maintenance Mechanic I, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:Understanding and following all safety policies and procedures. Maintaining electronic and electrical equipment and components. Programing/troubleshooting using programming devices. Installing/upgrading equipment. Calibrating and verifying metrology equipment. Your Skills and Expertise:To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3 M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this 3 M Production role, in compliance with U.S. labor and safety laws. Possess a High School Diploma/ GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start)Possess or in the last six (6) months of pursuing a two (2) year technical degree in a maintenance field in a private, public, government, or military industrial environment setting OR have five (5) years of industrial maintenance experience. Ability to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays. Applicants meeting the basic qualifications may be required to take and pass 3 M elected testing as a part of the selection process. Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Associates/ Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology. Work location: This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work fully on-site at the 3 M Plant in Springfield, MO. Travel: May include up to 0% domestic/internal.
