The Assistant Director, Student Engagement – Fraternity and Sorority Life supervises and coordinates the activities of fraternity and sorority chapters at the University. The Assistant Director, Student Engagement – Fraternity and Sorority Life serves as the advisor to various fraternity and sorority life chapters, councils, and committees. The Assistant Director, Student Engagement – Fraternity and Sorority Life supervises the Coordinator of Fraternity and Sorority Life, graduate assistant and/or student employees. Description of Primary Duties The Assistant Director, Student Engagement – Fraternity and Sorority Life supervises and coordinates the activities of fraternity and sorority chapters at the University. The Assistant Director, Student Engagement – Fraternity and Sorority Life serves as the advisor to various fraternity and sorority life chapters, councils, and committees. The Assistant Director, Student Engagement – Fraternity and Sorority Life supervises the Coordinator of Fraternity and Sorority Life, graduate assistant and/or student employees. Minimum Acceptable Qualifications Education: A Bachelor’s degree is required. A Master’s degree in Educational Administration, College Student Personnel, or other related field is preferred. Experience: At least one year of experience with social Greek letter organizations in a leadership or advisory capacity is required. At least one year of direct advisory experience with student organizations is preferred. Experience supervising full-time staff is preferred. At least two years of experience in advising, event planning, educational administration, leadership training, or related student affairs experience is required. Two years working as a graduate assistant in one of these areas may be substituted for one year of the required professional experience. Skills: Excellent organizational abilities, verbal and written communication skills, and interpersonal skills are required. Demonstrated problem-solving ability is required. Computer literacy is required. Other: The scope of the position frequently requires attendance at evening and/or weekend activities, meetings, seminars, and workshops. Additional Qualifications
