Job Summary Yardmasters within assigned territory will be in charge of the yard, employees, movements of trains, and distribution/movement of cars therein, except on main tracks and controlled sidings. Coordinate the setup of equipment for daily service with local Mechanical Department, and CNOC. When practical, the incumbent must see that employees are in condition for the proper discharge of duty, crews report for duty with the prescribed number of employees, and trains are made up and dispatched at the times prescribed. Minimum Qualifications Must be qualified on GCOR Operating Rules, Air Brake, train handling (AMT-3), and Safety Instruction for T&E (AMT-5). High School Diploma or GED. Preferred Qualifications Associates Degree in the transportation field or the equivalent combination of education, training and work experience. Some experience in train operations. Communications and Interpersonal Skills Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. The hourly range is $37.68 – $50.24 (with opportunity for increases, as per the applicable collective bargaining agreement, after beginning employment).
