One Agency. One Mission. Public Safety. The Larimer County Sheriff's Office is seeking a Crime Analyst to work with the Northern Colorado Drug Task Force. In this unique position, you will serve as an informational foundation for our operations, helping to connect the dots in complex cases. Schedule & Location:Fully in-person role in Northern Colorado. Schedule is Tuesday through Friday, typically 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, with some flexibility. Very limited on-call requirements.
Responsibilities
What You'll Be Doing:Provide tactical and analytical support to detectives and investigative teams by delivering timely, actionable intelligence to assist in ongoing criminal cases. Conduct in-depth analysis of diverse data sets (including phone records, financial transactions, social media activity, surveillance footage, criminal databases, and open-source intelligence) as they relate to long-term and complex investigations. Correspond and coordinate with outside agencies (local, state, federal law enforcement, and other relevant organizations) to obtain, share, and clarify information critical to ongoing investigations. Develop analytical products such as link charts, timelines, association matrices, and visual presentations to help investigators identify patterns, connections, and potential leads. Eager to learn and adapt – Demonstrated willingness to quickly master new analytical tools, techniques, and investigative methodologies as cases and technology evolve. Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining accuracy and professionalism. High attention to detail and strong critical thinking skills.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED. Three (3) years of experience in a directly related field or in the performance of directly related duties required. Law enforcement experience preferred. Current TLO, or the ability to obtain a TLO certification within one (1) year of hire date. We encourage you to think about your unique background and skills before applying.
