The ANSEP University Success Internship - is a University of Alaska program that targets first year university students currently enrolled in the University of Alaska at any campus location, in their first year as an engineering major or pursuing another STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math) discipline and actively part of ANSEP. The ANSEP University Success Internship is a temporary position based at one of our Alaska work locations (Anchorage or the North Slope) as determined by business need. This program is designed to give students currently pursuing a STEM degrees hands on exposure and experience in the oil industry. Position Overview. Alaska Overview. The Alaska segment primarily explores for, produces, transports and markets crude oil, natural gas and NG - Ls. We are the largest crude oil producer in Alaska and have major ownership interests in the Prudhoe Bay, Kuparuk and Western North Slope asset areas. Additionally, we are one of Alaska’s largest owners of state, federal and fee exploration leases, with approximately one million net undeveloped acres at year-end 2024. Alaska operations contributed 14 percent of our consolidated liquids production and two percent of our consolidated natural gas production. Basic/ Required: Legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer. Enrolled in the University of Alaska and currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or STEM related discipline. A minimum of eight (8) continuous weeks availability for internship. Preferred: Demonstrates taking ownership of actions and follows through on commitments by courageously dealing with important problems, holding others accountable and standing up for what is right.
