Civil Designer IV Job Overview: Join our team as a Civil Designer IV, where you'll play a vital role in supporting engineering and operations efforts through expert design and drafting solutions. Your work will help ensure our facilities are built and maintained to the highest standards, contributing to safe, reliable, and efficient operations across our projects. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with Engineering and Operations teams to develop and maintain accurate facility data and drawings, ensuring compliance with company standards and industry regulations. Demonstrate a proactive willingness to learn and adhere to company standards, processes, and best practices. Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3 D proficiently to create detailed 3 D models, site plans, foundation location plans, steel and concrete details, rebar schedules, soil erosion and sediment control plans, stakeout plans, and other technical drawings. Coordinate work within a multi-disciplinary team by referencing files and integrating various design inputs seamlessly. Provide technical support by producing complex engineering drawings and designs, taking responsibility for project contributions from conceptualization to as-built documentation. Conduct independent evaluations of design tasks, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and quality of deliverables. Liaise effectively with internal teams and external partners to gather project requirements, update progress, and ensure customer satisfaction. Develop and maintain detailed facility drawings for plants, stations, and above-ground appurtenances, supporting Operations & Maintenance, Tactical, and Engineering & Construction projects. Ensure all designs adhere to relevant codes, standards, and safety protocols, facilitating smooth project execution and regulatory compliance. Manage ongoing updates and revisions of drawings post-project completion, ensuring facilities remain accurately documented and optimized. Qualifications & Skills: Minimum of 5 years of drafting experience, including at least 3 years focused on independent design assignments within the gas and oil industry. Associate of Applied Science degree in Design and Drafting Technology or equivalent relevant experience. Extensive hands-on experience with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3 D, particularly in 3 D modeling and terrain data integration. Proficiency working with survey data points and understanding of drawing units such as architectural feet & inches and decimal feet. Strong knowledge of industry standards and codes, including ASME, API, ANSI, DOT, ISA, NEC, ACCI, AISC, UBC, ASCE, NFPA, AWS, NACE, IBC, among others. Background in concrete and steel design, detailing, and steel location plans. Excellent communication skills for effective email correspondence and participation in electronic meetings. Ability to evaluate, plan, and execute work independently, contributing positively to project success. Why Join Us?
