Wire harness fabrication utilizing wire splicing, crimping, Molex connector installation and soldering on a multitude of different connectors and cable types. Potting and encapsulation of connectors and electronics. Reads, understands and follows engineering assembly drawings, bill of materials, manufacturing procedures, work instructions, and misc. supporting documentation. Able to troubleshoot assembly issues under limited supervision. Assembly and test of various mechanical systems using standard test equipment Observes safety and security procedures, reports potentially unsafe conditions. Works effectively with teams of engineers and technicians. Demonstrates leadership and provides guidance to more junior Technicians WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR - Required Education: High School diploma. Preferred Education: Associates Degree or higher. Required: Strong proficiency with basic hand and power tools, excellent mechanical aptitude, experience with test data acquisition and instrumentation. Typically possesses 4-7 years of experience in a technical and/or assembly environment and familiarity with lab work. Preferred Experience: Familiarity with Military/ DoD, Research & Development. Familiar with soldering to J-STD-001 Proficient at operating standard electronic test equipment; oscilloscopes, meters, frequency generators, etc. Demonstrates an exceptional work ethic, and a strong desire to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Possesses strong computer background and familiarity with common office applications. Demonstrates passion for the aerospace and defense industry, and strong desire to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Physical requirements of this position include moderate physical and repetitious work, standing for extended periods of time, the use of stairs and occasional heavy lifting. Must be a U.S. Citizen
