The Hydroblaster position involves directing blasts of abrasive-laden compressed air or water from a nozzle against metal or hard composite objects to remove adhering scale, sand, paint, grease, tar, rust, and dirt, and to impart an even finish. Non-exempt role; Reports to the Foreman; Assigned duties according to specific procedures \/ work is checked frequently. Essential Qualifications: High school or equivalent Minimum two (2) years of experience required Basic knowledge of hydro blasting equipment and the hazards associated with May require NCCER certifications at some job sites Written pre-employment qualification test Post-offer drug\/alcohol screen and physical evaluation Job site safety requirements as required by the client (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.) Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.) Applicant\/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace Schedule: Rotating Schedule (4 on \/ 3 off) \/ 12 hour shifts \/ All days Functional Requirements: Moves controls to adjust pressure and concentration of grit to obtain specified finish, Wears gloves and a helmet or hood to protect against breathing sand-laden air and to prevent injury to eyes and hands, May mask areas not being sandblasted, May order materials as needed, Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction Compensation Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
