Dawson County Environmental Health Department is seeking a Customer Service Representative. As a Customer Service Representative with Dawson County Environmental Health at the Georgia Department of Public Health - District 2, you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways. Job Responsibilities Customer Service Representative 1:Under direct supervision, works and communicates with the general public, internal customers and/or external customers to provide information and services targeted to meet customer expectations. Customer Service Representative 2:Under general supervision, works and communicates with the general public, internal customers and/or external customers to provide information and services targeted to meet customer expectations. May resolve complicated issues involving customer service and/or researches governing policies, procedures or laws to respond to clients or visitors. General List of Job Duties:Public Contact – Greet clients and receive incoming telephone calls; helping to resolve the clients issues; direct calls and clients to appropriate staff and/or other agency. Data Entry – Enter data into the computer using DHD software and Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Locate and file Environmental Health information some of which is written in cursive. Experience processing paperwork and fees for those services. Experience working with Digital Health Department software. Collect department fees and balance cash drawer daily. Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Customer Service Representative 1 High school diploma/ GED and one (1) year of experience communicating information in a customer service setting are required. Customer Service Representative 2 High school diploma/ GED and two (2) years of experience communicating information in a customer service setting; or one (1) year of experience required at the lower level Customer Svc Rep 1 (GST 120) or position equivalent. Preferred Qualification:To be able to speak, read and write Spanish.
