Physical Security Coordinator

Under general supervision, responds to incidents at District key physical security assets involving personnel and property; implements security measures to ensure a safe workplace and the safety of employees, customers, and the general public; assists with implementation of security strategies and initiatives to protect District employees, facilities, and the general public; assists with oversight of contract security guards appointed to maintain security and control of facility access points; collaborates with key stakeholders and proactively mitigates risks through advanced threat management and strategic planning; conducts physical security audits, ensures regulatory compliance, NERC and CIP standards and prepares detail reports. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree in public or business administration, administration of justice, law, or related degree and four years’ experience working on internal investigations, law enforcement, security operations center, compliance or other related field conducting internal investigations or assessments of potential liability regarding third party claims and property damage. Progressively responsible directly related experience may be substituted for the required education at the ratio of two years of experience for one year of education required working in the corporate investigations, law enforcement, security operations center, or other related field conducting internal investigations or assessments of potential liability regarding third party claims and property damage.
