About the Employer The Riverside County Office of Education (RCOE) is a service agency supporting the county’s 23 school districts that serve nearly 430,000 students. RCOE provides administrative support to districts, leads programs for preschool, special education, pregnant minor, corrections, migrant, and vocational students, and offers professional training, support and resources for teachers, administrators, and staff throughout Riverside County. Job Summary POSITION DESCRIPTION: The position of Site Manager II is responsible for physical and emotional well-being of children by utilizing proper child development education practices and techniques. The position is also responsible for staff supervision and parent involvement in the educational programs at several sites. The position is designated as a Certificated Management position under the general supervision of the program coordinator or director and is part of the management Leadership Team. This is a categorically funded position, funded on a year to year basis. Requirements / Qualifications EXPERIENCE: A minimum of three (3) years of successful teaching experience in a child development program required; and a minimum of two (2) years of lead or supervisory experience in a child development/child center program that would demonstrate the ability to perform described duties and responsibilities of the position. Migrant Head Start Site Managers are required to be proficient in oral and written Spanish. EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in early childhood education, human development, liberal studies, or childhood development. Master’s degree desirable. Early Education sites that serve infants and toddlers require three (3) additional infant/toddler semester units.
