Pay: $17-$20/hour, depending on experience Contract Length: 6 months- 1 year EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENT: MUST OWN LAPTOP AND MONITORS! Overview Seeking a detail-oriented, tech-savvy individual for a patient billing role in a fast-paced healthcare setting. This position involves accurate account billing, claim follow-up, and documentation, requiring strong data entry skills, teachability, and the ability to thrive in a repetitive, process-driven environment. Responsibilities Accurately bill patient accounts and follow up on aged balances. Review electronic payer error reports and correct claim issues. Respond to patient, guarantor, and insurance inquiries promptly and professionally. Maintain system work queues, including DNB, Claim Edits, Rejections, and No Response items. Assist patients with payment plans or uncompensated care options. Qualifications High School diploma or GED required. Strong computer and data entry skills. Willingness to learn and follow structured processes. Attention to detail and accuracy in repetitive tasks. Excellent communication skills. Healthcare billing experience preferred but not required.
