This is an open and continuous posting for full-time (40 hours) positions on all shifts. The Lemuel Shattuck Hospital (LSH) is seeking a dedicated candidate for Security Team Specialist I. Security Specialists provide protection and security at the Lemuel Shattuck Hospital Campus for its buildings, grounds, equipment, patients, students, visitors, and staff. Please Note: Assigned Days On and Off Discussed at Interviews. Day Shift 7 AM-3:30 PM. Evening Shift 3 PM-11:30 PM - Night Shift 11 PM-7 AM - Duties and Responsibilities (these duties are a general summary and not all inclusive):Addresses concerns in a timely manner related to possible loss or damage from theft, fire, vandalism, civil disorder, violence, or other causes. Patrols campus buildings, parking lots and adjacent areas; enforces the Hospital’s parking, smoking, and other policies, and the Hospital’s traffic and safety regulations. Provides assistance during emergencies to DPH, DMH, and vendor programs on campus. Performs various duties required at fixed posts with a focus on customer service; monitors access control systems; maintains incident and daily logs; and related other duties as required. When needed, the Security Specialists administers emergency first aid as a designated first responder. Required Qualifications: Experience in work involving the protection and/or security of buildings, equipment or individuals. Ability to deal tactfully with others, and to interact with people who are under emotional or physical stress. Can make decisions and act quickly in a dangerous or emergency situation. Read and gather information through interviewing and examining documents. Exercise sound judgement. Preferred Qualifications:Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Working Conditions: This position requires lifting and carrying heavy objects, and standing and walking for prolonged periods of time, with or without an accommodation.
