Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, or related field. Knowledge of university/academic policies and procedures, strong organizational, prioritization, and multitasking abilities. Excellent attention to detail, proofreading skills, and written and verbal communication. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking. Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and electronic document management. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in a related field. Minimum of 3 years of advanced administrative experience. Experience in a nursing or health professions academic and/or advising environment. Job Description The MSN Admission and Retention Coordinator provides comprehensive administrative, compliance, admissions, and student support services for the MSN Nursing Programs at the St. David’s School of Nursing. The role supports MSN and post-graduate certificate students from inquiry through progression, retention, and program completion. Reporting to the MSN Programs Director, the coordinator serves as a central support resource, ensuring smooth program operations, accurate data management, accreditation-related compliance, and high-quality communication with applicants, students, faculty, and School of Nursing leadership. Job Duties Provide administrative support to the MSN Programs Director. Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective graduate nursing students. Assist in preparing applicant files for faculty review and track supporting documentation. Serve as a member of the Faculty and Student Governance Committee and serve as an advisor to the Admissions, Progression, and Graduation Faculty Committee. Coordinate new-student onboarding, including orientation modules, communications, and degree plan initiation. Communicate with applicants related to application requirements, processes, and timelines. Monitor academic progression to ensure compliance with Graduate College GPA requirements, course sequencing, and progression policies. Track and manage required compliance documents in the clinical documentation repository. Maintain databases tracking application status, admissions, progression, retention, and graduation outcomes. Maintain confidentiality and compliance with FERPA. Responsible for other duties as assigned by the Director or Dean.
