WIC is the Supplemental Food Program for Women, Infants and Children. The Alachua WIC Program covers a 10-county area that includes 13 clinic sites. The Health Educator Consultant/ Vendor Manager is responsible for managing compliance for the 60 retail grocery stores approved to accept WIC. Manages and monitors mandated state and federal guidelines for program compliance of the Alachua WIC Retail Unit. There are 60 WIC authorized retailers in the 10-county area. Conduct at least one compliance review each federal fiscal year on each WIC vendor within their local agency service area. Complete a Vendor Compliance Review and document whether the applicant is in compliance with mandatory minimum inventory requirements and has no expired foods on its shelves. Submit monthly travel report and quarterly vendor compliance report to the State Vendor Office. Update Vendor list to disseminate to clients, as needed with new information. Train Wi. C staff about new products or changes. Follow-up on social media abuse cases sent from the state office and forward any possible social media abuse cases to the state office. Management of Direct Distribution of Formula: Responsible for ordering special formula for our agency. Responsible for receiving, stocking, maintaining and reconciling special formula inventory at Administration office location. Responsible for processing special formula invoices for three delivery sites and assure that invoices are processed in compliance with mandatory requirements in Section 215.422 FS, Florida Statutes and chapter 691-24, Florida Administrative Code, and any other amendments thereto. Responsible for transferring special formula to various clinic sites. Assists maintaining, reconciling and monitoring special formula inventory at all clinic sites in Agency. Responsible for planning and providing required annual training or biannual to vendors by notifying the vendors of the date, time and location of the training or providing at least one alternative date on which to attend such training, and for documenting training attendance and non-attendance. Completes reports, maintains appropriate records. Provides assistance to the central appointment desk staff for questions regarding vendor issues and EBT card issues utilizing WIC Direct system. Serves as a backup to the call center as needed. Assists with training clerical staff and serves as a back up to clerical staff. Serves as back up to Training Consultant, Outreach Coordinator, and Financial Manager. Sending, receiving, and documenting electronic documentation submitted by clients in the FL Wi. SE system. Provided back-up assistance with Quality Assurance activities for WIC by doing the following: Back-up assistance to the WIC Coordinator to ensure that local self-reviews and state monitoring are conducted and that any corrective action as determined is completed. Back-up assistance in the collection of the daily no show reports form clinic and compilation of data for WIC Director. Back-up assistance in gathering data on the number of clients served at SW clinic and entering it in a spreadsheet for the WIC Director. Back-up assistance in completing the expiring short certification report quarterly and processing standards report monthly. Responsible for securing the designated information sets for the purpose of protecting confidentiality, data integrity and appropriate access for all information both confidential and public record, which is stored in hard copy or electronic formats. Completes EARS and timesheets on a weekly basis and completes certification. Completes mandatory meetings and trainings as designated by State, Federal, WIC, and local authority by deadline assigned.
