Press Operator Assistant. Our client is a business-to-business commercial and digital printer providing specialty print-based solutions in several strategic markets. SUMMARY - This position will assist the Print Operator on a Heidelberg 8 color sheet fed off-set printing press to ensure that proper quality is maintained and project objectives are met. A successful candidate will have a willingness to learn and a desire to advance their career. PAY: up to $20/hr. SHIFT: Monday - Friday DAY: 7:00 am to 3:00 pm DUTIES:Feeding paper into the offset printer. Must be comfortable lifting to 50 lbs. Lifting 20 lbs of paper onto the machine, repetitively through the run. Use a pallet jack to move large pallets of paper to the machine. Assist the Press Operator to ensure an effective run of print from project to project. Assist with preventive maintenance as required. Assist with ink load as necessary. Give additional support to the Bindery Team with a variety of projects. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 1 year of manufacturing/production experience required, prefer at least 6 months of machine operation. Basic math, measuring skills (metric and standard), and computer skills required. Proven work record of reliability and team-based work ethic. Proven record of safety and basic manufacturing principles such as LEAN, S 6, etc. Must be able to stand for long periods of time and consistently maneuver up to 50 pounds.
